Catch Grill at the Marriott Biscayne Bay (1633 Bayshore Dr., Miami, FL 33132) is one of my favorite happy hours in Miami. Their regular happy hour runs 4-7 every day and features $5 house wines and select cocktails. On Thursday evenings, the happy hour is extended until 10:00pm and features live entertainment. You can sit outside, listen to great music, sip on a nice cocktail or two, and enjoy the wonderful view of Biscayne Bay.
So when I heard that Miami New Times was hosting TweetUp at Catch, I knew the ID2T crew would have to come out in full force. There was a great crowd, great music, and divine appetizers including edamame hummus with plantain chips and fried oysters.
The folks from Miami Club Rum were also on hand serving “Mijitas,” (see recipe below) which were delectable and a fresh take on traditional mojito. Plenty of other rum based drinks including cuba libres and a special rum punch were also being served.

Mijita recipe:
- 2 oz. Miami Club Rum
- 2 oz. Cranberry juice
- Squeeze of fresh lime
- Fresh mint sprig
- Over ice in a highball glass
- Don’t forget to spank the mint!
