Czar Ice Bar in Atlanta is a vodka bar located in the prestigious Buckhead area and its signature feature is a bar actually, truly, really made of ice!!!  Oh that and the fact that they have about 300 vodka brands from around the world to choose from.   By the way, they also serve sushi, but who has time to eat when there is so much to drink?!

The decor is very nice and creates a cool vibe.  The bar was packed with a lively crowd of young hipsters.  We sat at…where else…the ice bar and Quincy greeted us with a smile.  The crew decided to sample a couple of their signature drinks.  The Amelia is made with Russian Standard Vodka, St. Germain, with fresh blackberry and lemon.  It was strong and refreshing.

We also tried a really delicious champagne cocktail.  Unfortunately, we had been drinking for quite a while by the time we got here for a night cap, so I can’t remember the name of it.  However, if these drinks are any indication of the tastiness of the rest of the cocktails, then rest assured that you can’t go wrong.  I suggest you ask Quincy to make a recommendation.

While there, a group of guys ordered a $75 vodka shot.

We were definitely interested to get more info on this, especially after they ordered several more of these shots.  Again, Quincy was more than willing to oblige.  No, he did not give us a free shot of this very expensive vodka, but he did let us see the bottle and gave us quick run down of the vodka and why it is so special, i.e., expensive.

HDW CLIX is an American vodka, surprisingly not Russian, which is distilled at a Bourbon distillery in Kentucky!  It is touted as the finest vodka ever distilled.  They made only 2,000 bottles and they put them in a beautiful package and custom, hand crafted decanter.  Um OK….no thank you!

The good news is that Czar Ice Bar has so many vodkas and creative craft cocktails to try that you don’t need to get distracted by the hype of a $75 shot and you’ll still totally enjoy this place.
