On Christmas eve, I witnessed a Christmas miracle. The luxurious Conrad Hotel located in Brickell did something amazing and unheard of. Yes, they made it snow in Miami…and during happy hour no less!
The Bar at Level 25, the bar/lounge located on the 25th floor atrium of the Conrad, not only made snow, they did it each evening every half hour over the holidays. After hearing about this phenomenon, I was obviously intrigued and a bit skeptical. I decided what better way to spend Christmas eve than for the ID2T crew to go check it out.
There we were sitting at the bar enjoying some wonderful cocktails at happy hour (the Acai Rita was my drink of choice) and sure enough as we were advised by the lovely bartender…at half past the snow began to fall.
I didn’t realize how excited I was going to get. Maybe because I am a California kid and have limited experience with snow, but I was completely enthralled! I didn’t run around the atrium yelling “snow!” like the two little boys who were a wee bit more excited than me, but this was impressive. It was airy, flaky, and looked like real snow flurries. They even have a snow patrol officer that comes and cleans up after the snowfall stops.
And then 30 minutes later it happened again and, honestly, I was just as excited and impressed. Come on, cocktails and snow on Christmas eve? I’ll definitely drink to that and Santa approves! #santaphotobombing
