The ID2T crew had a remarkable time as Miami New Times hosted a great tweet up event recently at the newly redesigned Rusty Pelican on Biscayne Bay. Long known for its spectacular views and excellent location, the restaurant’s recent re-design has enhanced the look and feel of both the dining area and event space. The event was held upstairs in the gorgeous venue space.
We were greeted by a captivating drinks tower and then entered the venue which was filled with cocktail tables, various food stations, and lots of beautiful people.
Right in the middle of the room were two huge skillets of seafood paella which was so yummy!
The ceviche station featured salmon, tuna, shrimp, and corvina ceviches. All fresh and all amazing!
At another food station, a chef made fresh mozzarella which was sliced and served with prosciutto, fresh sliced tomatoes, and balsamic glaze.
Short rib empanadas and Serrano ham croquetas were also offered off of served platters.
Drinks served included margaritas, strawberry mules, mojitos, and sangria as well as red and white wine.
While the DJ filled the room with cool sounds of r&b, soul and pop music, we ventured outside to the patio to take in the views and enjoy the evening.
Rusty Pelican offers happy hour 4:00-7:00pm Monday-Friday which includes $3 beers; $5 wells; $7 Martinis, Mojitos and Margaritas. Also, on Wine Wednesdays 1/2 off bottles of wine and champagne.
